Itenary

Day 1
  • Vientiane I

    Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by your guide and given a brief tour of Vientiane, the largest city in Laos. You will visit sights such as Pha That Luang, Lao's most important and imposing monument. Legend has it that Ashokan missionaries from India erected a stupa here to enclose a breastbone of the Buddha as early as the 3rd century BC.

Day 2
  • Vientiane II

    After breakfast you'll visit more of Vientiane's temples. Wat Si Saket has thousands of Buddha images, and Wat Ong Teu Mahawihan (Temple of the Heavy Buddha), which is one of the most important in all of Laos. It was built in the early 16th century by King Setthathirat and currently serves as a national center for Buddhist studies. At Wat Xieng Khuan (Buddha Park), you can see the collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures in a meadow by the side of the Mekong River. Finish the day with a visit to the central market.

Day 3
  • Vientiane/Luang Prabang

    This morning you'll fly to Luang Prabang, a city known for its historic temples and lovely mountain-encircled setting. Get ready to enjoy your wonderful morning in the spiritual land of Luang Prabang. At this place and you can observe or participate in this serene Buddhist ritual of almsgiving. You'll also watch in awe as dozens of monks emerge to stroll past lay people offering flowers. Your afternoon is free at leisure to relax or stroll around the town. On the way back to the hotel, you can stop off at the hill tribe evening market to see the vast array of locally produced goods. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4
  • Luang Prabang

    After breakfast, leave your hotel to observe a long line of monks collecting the alms' ceremony "the Take Bat", or the Buddhist monks' morning collection of food in Luang Prabang. You'll also participate by offering food into the bowls carried by the monks. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 5
  • Luang Prabang

    After breakfast, today we head to enjoy biking to Wat Pa Phon Phao, a forest temple famous for the teachings of Ajahn Saisamut, and Tomb of Henry Mouhot. You'll also stop by Tad Sae Waterfall or the river to enjoy the cool water. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 6
  • Luang Prabang

    After breakfast, you'll set out for the ride with your elephant and enjoy the impressive experience of a 3 km ride. You'll also enjoy buffet lunch served with coffee or tea and drinking water.

Day 7
  • Luang Prabang Departure

    After breakfast, the day is free at leisure until your guide meets you for transfer by private car to the airport.
